Melissa Anne spent over 15 years working in Crisis and Disaster Management with a focus on post-trauma response following mass casualty disasters. She stepped away from her career in 2015 after severe burnout and a healing journey led her to explore Mindfulness Meditation, Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) and creative arts. In 2018 just after moving to Bainbridge Island she suffered a traumatic brain injury and found herself on a yoga mat at Dayaalu Center after months of physical and cognitive rehab.
Melissa Anne is now a certified teacher in Hatha Yoga, Neuroscience and Yoga, Raga Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She continues to take classes and teaches Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra and Pranayama classes at Dayaalu Center and online.
Melissa Anne is also a Fine Art Photographer with a unique style and loves to spend time tending the land, cultivating and harvesting crops and communing with animals, birds and plants. Her ideal day begins with her camera and a sunrise beach, mantra and hatha, opportunities to place seeds or plants in the earth, spending time with friends in community and conversation and ending the day with the sweet peace of a Yoga Nidra.

Yulia Drozdova currently lives in Poulsbo and has been making Mandala Plates professionally for over 8 years, producing over 150 items that can be purchased locally or online. She currently has a collection at the Angeline Spa at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort.
Yulia uses acrylic and enamel paints and the point-to-point technique to form her mandalas. A practice used hundreds of years ago, mandala making is currently undergoing a modern-day renaissance, and still demands respect and a great deal of patience and imagination.
From Yulia: “Within every plate lies the capacity to characterize an energy or feeling in time. My ideas arise from all that surrounds me: architecture, plants, events, museums, travel, people, etc. This is why I do not make copies of my work. Each design is a representation of a unique moment in my life. An expressive design will come to anyone who flows with their current mindset instead of against it. I tune-in, listen to myself, and simply trust my hands to create something beautiful.”
